The Community Foundation’s Executive Director, Amy Hernon, and Director of Philanthropy, Jessica Rizza, recently had the privilege of attending the Illinois Local News Summit, hosted by Press Forward Chicago and Press Forward Springfield.

For Stu and Tammi Sava, seven acres of native prairie and woodlands represent years of thoughtful restoration, a true labor of love to return their land to its natural state. But their vision extended beyond the beauty of today. They wanted to ensure the land they cared for would be protected forever.
