The Community Foundation for McHenry County awarded 25 local students with scholarships in 2024!
Scholarship recipients were from across McHenry County from Cary- Grove High School, Crystal Lake South High School, Harvard High School, Huntley High School, Marian Central Catholic High School, McHenry Community High School, Prairie Ridge High School, Rolling Meadows High School, Woodstock High School, Woodstock North High School, and Wauconda High School.
The Community Foundation scholarships were established by individuals and organizations that recognize the importance of education. Donors establish the criteria for each scholarship based on their interests and the community need. Many scholarships are memorials which honor the memory, life, and passions of individuals. Thanks to the generosity of scholarship fund creators, over $248,000 has been awarded to McHenry County students since 2013.
The Community Foundation for McHenry County hosted a Scholarship Awards Breakfast on Friday, June 7 at Bull Valley Country Club. The Community Foundation welcomed over 125 guests to award and celebrate the 2024 scholarship recipients and the donors who made the scholarships possible.
