GIVE360 Program

Our GIVE360 program is a giving circle that was initiated by The Community Foundation in 2015 as a way to make philanthropy easy for anyone. Donors make a minimum donation of $360 annually to support the needs in our community utilizing the idea of collective giving. The program pools all donations and provides grants to nonprofit agencies serving our neighbors and friends in McHenry County. Half of the funds collected each year are given out as grants with the other half are endowed to ensure ongoing support in the future.

Some of the key benefits to being a GIVE360 donor are:

  • Learning about community philanthropy and the various nonprofit organizations serving our community
  • Invitations to Give360 events which will connect you with fellow philanthropists
  • Getting more involved and making a contribution in your community
  • Becoming aware and empowered about issues affecting the community
  • Learning about the value and strength of collective giving
  • Finding out firsthand that you do have the ability to change people’s lives
  • Becoming part of the community’s solutions
  • Playing a key role in providing sizable grants to support important work by chosen nonprofit organizations in our community

    Why I Give
There are so many worthy non-profits that strive to improve life in McHenry County, help those in need, or serve the underserved that it's difficult to single one out to donate to. The GIVE360 Program is a perfect way for a community member to donate approximately a dollar a day and have three agencies a year receive a grant to help in their efforts. I also love the concept of the full circle......a donation starts in our community and ends up in our community.
